There are different domains within cybersecurity that one can specialize in. These include Network Security (such as firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems), Endpoint Security (for protecting devices such as laptops and mobile devices), Cloud Security (encompassing cloud-based applications like SaaS), Application Security (protecting web applications from attack), Data Protection (ensuring against data breaches), Identity Management/Identity Access Management (managing user identities securely), Incident Response (responding quickly when an attack occurs), Risk Analysis & Risk Management (assessing risks associated with cyber threats), Mobile Security (securing mobile platforms), Cryptography & Blockchain Technologies (encrypting data transmitted over the internet), Governance & Compliance (adhering to regulatory requirements), IoT & Automation Security(securely connecting physical devices to the internet); and Third Party Vendor Risk Management (ensuring security best practices for third-party vendors).

The training at UST runs for five calendar months. During this period, you will receive a comprehensive curriculum covering all aspects of cybersecurity, from fundamental technical knowledge to soft skills such as communication and collaboration. After the 5-month training period, you are transitioned into an intensive 2-month interview preparation program, which provides hands-on training tailored to your specific needs and goals. This additional step has been a game changer for our trainees – most of them have found jobs within three months after completing the full program.
Furthermore, UST will still be there for you once you’re done with the training and out in the job market. We have created an alumni group of already working cybersecurity professionals who are always on the lookout to help new members of the community with any task related to their field of expertise. If a trainee starts the training but finds that they are unable to complete it, our team will always be there to help. We understand that life brings many changes, and we are flexible in accommodating all our trainees. Any payment made will be applied to the next training session, and we offer support to those needing help completing the course. Firstly, all classes are recorded and available for viewing anytime, so anyone who missed the live session can watch the video recording. Second, we offer weekly revision classes to help trainees catch up on the topics covered in the classes they missed. We understand that some students may have busy schedules or other commitments, meaning they can only attend some classes.
